PS Vita TV is a huge flop in Japan

PSVita TV,Sony's microconsole,is the way for you to play your downloaded PSP,PS ONE and some of your PS Vita titles(games that use touchscreen, rear touchpad, camera are not compatible for now)on your TV.You can even have the ability to remote play your PS4 games on another TV.Overall it's a great idea but the Japanese market doesn't seem to agree with that, judging by the first sales numbers....

The system (released in Japan on November 14) was heavily marketed alongside God Eater 2,Japan's biggest vita title this year, but only managed to sell 42172 units on it's debut week.Worst news for Sony was the second's week's numbers.PS Vita TV managed to sell only 7868 consoles a huge fall from the already average first week's numbers. In two weeks time the microconsole sold around 50000 units and i bet Sony won't be pleased with this numbers.
The concept of the microconsole seems to fit better in the western markets(we knew that Japanese people preffer the handheld gaming),so it would be a wise choice for Sony to release it in Europe and NA.
